Taking Flight, Taking a Break.

I'm heading out to LA to see my son for Mother's Day weekend. As much as I love where I live and the work I get to do, there's something about travel that deeply fuels me. I find it exciting, both personal and professional.
I love the experience of being in motion, of breaking routine, of seeing new places and meeting new people. And yes, I even love flying.
Air travel, for me, is more than transportation. It's a built-in pause. It forces me to slow down. It gives me space to focus, rest, reflect, and reset. Somewhere between takeoff and landing, I find clarity.
Long flights become a pocket of peace:
I read.
I listen to podcasts.
I write.
Sometimes, I just nap without guilt.
Cross-country trips aren't just about changing location; they help me reset my perspective.
As we head into summer, I'm leaning into more intentional breaks like this. I'm looking forward to trips for business, pleasure, golf, hiking, and more. I will intentionally take time for myself and my relationship. We don't always need to be grinding. Sometimes, the best insights come when we unplug, get quiet, and let our minds wander.
